Please contact us to arrange a construction course to fit you. We can run courses at our training centre or on-site (if you have a classroom available)…
Who should attend?
Persons in a workplace where an assessment of that workplace has identified the requirement for a qualified First aider, the candidate must hold a current First aid at Work certificate, or one that has not gone more than 28 days past its expiry date.
Aims and Objectives
To re-fresh and up date the candidate in Basic Life Support (BLS), they will practice all the skills they learnt on their initial First aid at Work course as well as any new procedures implemented since their initial course.
Having a first aider re-qualified will allow you to continue to meet your legal obligations as an employer as stated in the health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981. Ensuring your First ajder attends a re-qualification course will be cost effective as the course will only take them away from work for two days, it will also ensure continuity by keeping the same person as your First aid representative.
On successful completion of the course the candidate will receive a certificate of qualification in First aid, as recognised by the Health and Safety Executive, which will last for 3 years. Although yearly updating of skills is the H.S.E. recommendation.
